What to Expect

Upon entering the Sons of Israel campus, parking is immediately on your right.

Please note we do not welcome men in the mikvah parking lot as this compromises the privacy of our patrons.

Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and shown to a room

Your attendant will greet you and recieve your payment before showing you to a prep room. (If you prefer to pay online before your appointment, you can do that here.) You’ll hear soft music playing in the background as you enter a fully appointed, beautiful prep room.

Virtually everything you could need for your prep is provided

In your room, you’ll find all the standard things you could need for mikvah prep including:

○ towel ○ bathmat ○ slippers ○ loofah ○ shampoo ○ body wash ○ makeup remover towelettes ○ nail clipper ○ nail file ○ floss ○ toothpaste ○ toothbrush ○ nail polish remover ○ Qtips and cotton balls

If you don’t see something you need, just ask your attendant. She may have additional supplies available.

Your attendant will escort you to the mikvah

You will be the only one walking through the passage from your room to the mikvah with your attendant. Once standing by the pool of water, the mikvah attendant will ask if you’d like her to check anything for you. She will hold up a robe so that you have complete privacy. As you immerse, the attendant will only be looking to ensure that your hair is submerged in the water. She will declare “Kosher” each time you submerge. When your immersion is complete, she will declare “Kosher tevilah” She will then ask you if you’d like a few moments alone in the mikvah. This is a special time for spiritual reflection and prayer.

You'll be escorted back to your room

Once your immersion is complete, your attendant will escort you back to your room. You will have the opportunity to use our beauty bar to refresh, dry your hair, and beautify before you leave.
